Adrian Myers
Marc Wootton
You may have caught the new BBC 3 Comedy, Marc Wootton Exposed, over the Christmas period. Adrian shot Marc on set and in the studio over a period of 3 weeks. He's a crazy man check out his show!
Marc Wootton Exposed was a great show to be invovled in, although the shooting schedule was fairly extreme and a little bizarre at times. Adrian found himself shooting Rufus, a rapper in a Hertfordshire country mansion, Ian Jackson, a naughty school boy, Candy an American chat show host, and Una, a mad tour guide, to name only a few.
Adrian's brief from the BBC was in two parts. Firstly to shoot selected characters against white, so that a composite image could be made showing them all. Secondly he was to shoot the characters on set and behind the scenes. This second part was especially interesting as several of Wootton's characters involved many hours of make-up and prosthetics. Candy was one of the most dramatic changes and involved a fat suit as well as a whole new face!

One of the more surreal moments on the shoot was when Una the tour guide was being being chased by Mongolian horsemen and dragged in a net through the park, much to the bewilderment of her tourist group.

As Adrian says "We had to keep fairly mobile throughout this shoot, as we needed to shoot a variety of images on set and studio style portraits against white with only a small window of time to do so. My solution was a couple of assistants, one of whom could set up and move the white background set, and the other to chase after me with a couple of lights and portable Elinchrom Ranger flash packs. It was hard work and stressful at times but all in all great fun and we did laugh alot!!"

Here are some more images of the characters and a glimpse behind the scenes.
